چکیده
Abstract. Cloud radars are widely used in observing clouds and precipitation. However, the raw data products of cloud usually affected by multiple factors, which may lead to misinterpretation precipitation processes. In this study, we present a Doppler-spectra-based processing framework improve quality multi-mode pulse-compressed Ka–Ku radar system. Firstly, non-meteorological signal close ground was identified with enhanced Doppler spectral ratios between different modes. Then, for spectrum range sidelobe due implementation pulse compression technique, characteristics probability density distribution power were identify artifacts. Finally, spectra observations from modes merged via shift-then-average approach. The new moment generated based on data. presented applied stratiform event, quantitative evaluation shows good performance clutter or suppression merging.

Pulse Compression Method for Radar Signal Processing
One fundamental issue in designing a good radar system is it’s capability to resolve two small targets that are located at long range with very small separation between them. Pulse compression techniques are used in radar systems to avail the benefits of large range detection capability of long duration pulse and high range resolution capability of short duration pulse. In these techniques a lo...

The progression of phased array weather observations, research, and planning over the past decade has led to significant advances in development efforts for future weather radar technologies. However, numerous challenges still remain for large-scale deployment. The eventual goal for phased array weather radar technology includes the use of active arrays, where each element would have its own tr...
متن کاملExtending the Radar Dynamic Range using Adaptive Pulse Compression
The matched filter in the radar receiver is only adapted to the transmitted signal version and its output will be wasted due to non-matching with the received signal from the environment. The sidelobes amplitude of the matched filter output in pulse compression radars are dependent on the transmitted coded waveforms that extended as much as the length of the code on both sides of the target loc...
متن کاملChapter 10 Pulse Compression Radar
10.1 INTRODUCTION Pulse compression involves the transmission of a long coded pulse and the processing of the received echo to obtain a relatively narrow pulse. The increased detection capability of a long-pulse radar system is achieved while retaining the range resolution capability of a narrow-pulse system. Several advantages are obtained. Transmission of long pulses permits a more efficient ...

In this paper, we propose a new approach to improve the performance of speech enhancement technique based on multi-band spectral subtraction for white Gaussian noise. First, the original power spectral subtraction and multiband spectral subtraction methods are surveyed and implemented. Next, the generalization is applied on multiband spectral subtraction. Finally, the flattened noise spectrum w...
